Make blogger blogspot blog look more professional than WordPress.Blogger vs Wordpress, the war that will never end as both the platforms are working harder to beat the other one.We know that out of 100 professional looking blogs,90 of them would definitely be WordPress blogs.But it does not mean blogger can't look as much professional as WordPress does.The problem is in people.The people who don't wanna spend money go for blogger, use that dull .blogspot.com domain, keep that simple blogger template, write a few articles and then wait for the magic to happen but they get disappointed at last.There are not many articles written on the web about this topic which is really sad.Nobody is giving that much value to blogger.So I decided to write an article on this.If you follow this article your blogger blogspot blog will definitely look better and more professional than WordPress.

Why should your blogger blog look professional?

Who does not want his/her blog to look professional?It has a great impact on the viewers.Let me give you an example.You have made a dish on a great recipe and after tasting it, you are confident that your customers will like it for sure so you don't give much attention in making it look better as it already tastes good.On the other hand, Mike, who is your competitor makes a dish on not that good recipe but decorates it beautifully with some salad (i know your mouth is watering now 😁) and makes a plan to serve it in a very nice manner to the customer.You both go to the same customer.So what do you think which dish will he choose?Yours or Mike's?Well, I think he will choose Mike's.Because it looks good no matter how it tastes.Similarly, you have got to give the same impression to your viewers.Because people believe in what they see.This is what WordPress has done (i am not saying WordPress has bad taste :D).Wordpress has hundreds of free and paid plugins and templates that are professional and beautiful.

How to make blogger blog look as professional as WordPress?

I have 5 blogger blogs with all the things I am gonna list below.They look more professional than many WordPress blogs and are engaging for the visitors.They put an as good effect on them as a WordPress blog will.Please consider reading this whole article because it is going to help you a lot in making your blogger blog look good and more professional than WordPress.

1.Remove/turn off Blogger navbar:

Blogger navbar looks so bad and unprofessional.Please don't use it.It is just an old fashion feature of blogger.To turn it off, follow these steps

1. Go to your blogger dashboard.
2. Click on the layout button at the left panel.
3. Look for the box having navbar written on it.
4. Please turn that thing off.

2.Use new Blogger templates:

Google has launched some new themes and templates for its blogspot platform as of 2017.I think it's a very good step by Google as they have taken the modern templates under consideration.New templates look pretty much professional and give a traditional look of a blog to your blogger blog.Google has launched 4 different templates with 5 different themes each.They are Contempo, Soho, Emporio, and Notable.They are very good at responsiveness too and have very good page loading speed.Both the speed and mobile friendliness are the factors that affect your website's rankings and see.So if you can't buy premium blogger templates, must give these a try.

3.Use clear fonts that are user-friendly:

Please don't use those almost unreadable fonts.Use Arial, Georgia or Verdana font.Which is really great for the readers and are also supported by all kind of browsers.Keep the right font size.Don't make it too big neither too small to read.

4.Use white post body background and black text:

Take this step seriously.No one likes yellow background with white text on it 😜 or the variants of such colors that you are gonna use.Keep the post body colors simple.You can definitely tweak your white background and black text a little bit but don't mix too many colors.It looks childish.

5.Remove all the default blogger widgets:

Don't use any of the default blogger widgets.You can use some of them if you want but they are not professional looking.Search on the web for their variants and you will find hundreds of blogger widgets online that are beautiful and will suit your style of blogging.

6.Use free or paid premium blogger templates

You can get your blog look professional right away by using a premium blogger template.Just search and you will find thousands of free premium and professional looking blogger templates.You can select the one that suits your needs and looks appealing.

7.Get custom domain name for your blogger blog from GoDaddy

This is the most important step.Buy a custom domain name for a few dollars.It is not gonna make you spend much money.Custom domain names have a huge impact on your traffic and search engine visibility.It makes your blogger blog look a lot more professional than it will look with a .blogspot.com domain.Buy yours now from Godaddy as they offer domain names at very cheap prices.

Note: I am not using custom domain on my this blog because of some reasons.If I could I would definitely have :).

8.Use a custom favicon

I have already written an article on this here" How to make a favicon and add it to blog ".You can easily change your blogger blog's favicon by following the steps below:

1. Make a square image (Height= 16px and width= 16px) as a favicon of your blogger blogspot blog.
2. Convert your image to .ico file by using this favicon generator.
3. Go to your blogger dashboard>layout>favicon.
4. Remove the old favicon and click on choose button.
5. Finally, find your .ico file and save it.

10.Make a logo for your blogger blog:

Make a good looking logo for your blogger blog.It will add to the professional look of your blogspot blog.To make a logo for your blogger blogspot blog, you can use photoshop, illustrator, gimp or any other graphic designing software you like.

How to add a logo to blogger blog?

Go to blogspot dashboard>layout>header (Where the title and description of your blog are written).Now click on add image, locate your image and save it.Don't forget to click on "instead of title and description".

11.Use Disqus commenting system:

Blogger's default commenting system does not look professional.Use Disqus comments that look better.

12.Add proper pages with categories:

If you are covering different topics on your blogspot blogger blog, add pages with proper categories so that your visitors can easily navigate through your blogspot blog.This is also healthy for your search rankings as it makes easy for the google bots to get information about your blogger blog.

13.Keep it simple:

Don't add too many widgets that are not of much use for you.Just keep your blogger blogspot blog as simple as you can.

14.Write good looking articles:

This is also very important.If you want to make sure that your visitors feel that your blogspot blog is professional, write quality articles that are neat and clean.Use headings correctly.Double check your article before publishing it.Correct use of grammar is very important.
